I had the unique pleasure of working under Caryanne's wing for four years throughout my time at Ithaca College. She has always served as an amazing coach, helping me through many of my life challenges from school work, to finding internships or a job, or even just exploring the next opportunity. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for Caryanne! Before her I met with other advisors but still couldn’t find my path. Caryanne suggested I take the MBTI to discover more of myself. My MBTI results encouraged me to go into teaching and mentoring. I switched my career goals from sales to youth development and I couldn't be happier! I now work with inner city youth mentoring and empowering them to be the future of America. If it wasn’t for Caryanne’s advice I would have been stuck in a field I was good in but not passionate about.

When I think of my time while working with Caryanne I think of how genuinely empathic and knowledgeable she is. She used both her active listening skills and grounded experience with working with a diverse group of people to help me build my confidence, and meet my professional goals. She encouraged me to use my Chinese name on resumes, because that is who I want to be in my heart, while also helping me with preparing for workplace conflicts, building assertiveness and challenging societal notions of passivity in Asian women.
