What do you do at LWS?
At LWS, I work with my team in synthesizing targeted demographic, content, and career-related information to recommend and execute marketing practices. This entails the creation of social media copy for company pages, career-related blog posts, and marketing campaign pitches to build coaching client base. Ultimately, I assist in company branding to publicize and support Caryanne’s philanthropic endeavors as a career consultant.

Why did you pick LWS?
I’ve known Caryanne for a couple of years now, and she has always demonstrated a unique passion for helping people as well as an exceptional knowledge of all things career development related. When she asked me to come on board and help with marketing I thought: “What better way to gain experience in a field that I love than with someone whom I know has my best interest at heart?” Ever since, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Caryanne to promote her amazing brand and business.

What are the values that drive you?
The values that drive me are vision, authenticity, and courage. Vision is such a limited commodity to come by these days, and it is always refreshing to meet and work with someone who has just as much determination for themselves as you do. Authenticity is so important in any field—it’s the thing that can turn your weaknesses into strengths and connect you to people you never thought you would speak to (who wants to be like everyone else, anyway?) Courage is at the core of my being and I try my best to challenge myself and look for ways to grow as often as possible. These three values are the root of every decision that I make, whether personal or professional.

What are three things that you can’t live without?
Books, water, fashion. Books are the way in which we pass down intergenerational knowledge, and I never want to stop learning. Water is just the best—from showers, to hygiene products, to just drinking it, water is the ultimate blessing. And finally, my passion for fashion is what keeps me going—it’s how I express myself.

Social Media Intern

What do you do at LWS?
At LWS, I collaborate on marketing campaigns while helping to design and develop physical and digital assets for the company. Along with these assets, I research trends in the career services industries in order to brainstorm content that will engage our current and future clients.

Why did you pick LWS?
After receiving the job posting, I did a bit of research into LWS. What I found was a new company, led by a woman who was ready to take on the challenges of diversity and inclusion in career services. To see a brand new company promote their values and their commitment to those values was inspiring. I picked LWS because it was a job that aligned with my skills in a company that aligned with my personal and professional values.

What are the values that drive you?
My number one value that drives every decision I make is honesty. Without honesty, I feel as if I’m in limbo. With honesty, I find that spaces and relationships are open and respectful. With honesty, there comes a higher potential for progress.

What are three things you can’t live without?

  1. My puppy, Ace.
  2. His sister, my other puppy, Abby.
  3. Water

Here is my favorite quote and advice I give out quite frequently.
“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” – George Bernard Shaw
